Caption: CNR oil electric 15832 swings around the curved Midland Sub station track at the rear of the Orillia station with daily except Sunday train 604 from Midland to Lindsay. The wye to the Newmarket Sub ("Midland Junction") can be seen off to the left, with the Midland Sub mainline off to the right near the switch stand. In the distance, tank cars can be seen near the Imperial Oil facility.
604 was the return of the westbound 603 earlier that day, operating Lindsay - Blackwater Jct - Lorneville Jct - Orillia - Midland. The return trip would skip the Coboconk and Uxbridge Sub detours to Blackwater, running straight into Lindsay on the Midland Sub.

Great picture, very interesting to see the area, sheds, houses near to the CNR Orillia Station. Did photograph the 15832 at Blackwater Jct on its morning run to Midland, but never did see it in Orillia, so for me this is a unique picture. Bruce Cole used to travel around with Bill Flatt, Bill was a good friend in high school days – we attended Forest Hill Collegiate together. Jacob, would be interested to know how you acquired this negative and whether met Bruce personally. Thanks for posting, John
