Caption: CNR O-12-f, 0-6-0 switcher 7423 makes its way down the southern section of the Waterloo Sub at Mill Street with a brakeman riding atop an auto box car (note end doors for loading). The short train is seen passing the Canadian Blower & Forge Co., Ltd., at left, which operated on this site from 1914 as the Canada Buffalo Forge Co. through the late 1980s/early 1990s.

Very nice indeed ! A few interesting things, note the slope back tender, requiring more stops for water and no sign of marker lamps or extra (white) flags – guess the old gal stayed strictly within yard limits. Took black & white pictures of sister 0-6-0’s 7441 & 7501 in Kitchener yard summer 1958, there were usually three of them in Kitchener at that time. Thanks for sharing, John
