CN SW1200RS's 1335 and 1272 are seen stored and out of service at CN's MacMillan yard diesel shop in spring 1995. CN 1272 was possibly the last active SW1200RS in the original CN big noodle paint scheme. Both unit's would eventually be sold to Canac with 1335 later being sold to RaiLink. It would emerge as RLK 1201 and was assigned to RaiLink Southern Ontario where it would live on for several more years operating on assignments out of Brantford and Hamilton.

    In the first photo I’m assuming the CN GP9RM was possibly for the CN steel train that ran on the Dundas?

  3. Yes, there was usully CN power floating around, one or two units most of the time

    would be on the steel train… and often not, instead assigned to locals

  4. A very nice SW1200rs photo Jason. It appears I have been residing under a rock for a number of years. Never noticed the difference on how the handrails are attached. On the 1272 the handrail bolts on near the corner of the battery box, the 1335 has this same handrail bolt on in the middle of the box. A similar occurrence to be found at the F end with the inboard handrail.
