CN SD40-2Ws 5325 and 5279 had their work cut out for them last night, hauling 74 loaded gravel cars from Whitecourt into Edmonton. Here, they're seen passing the grain elevators at Mile 5 of the Sangudo Sub, St. Albert.

  1. Very nice, Tim.

  2. We could use some SD40-2 on the Hagersville Sub instead of the multiple 4 axle set.
Who is the gravel for, construction projects or someone specific ??

  3. It’s for construction projects. The entire train was made up of RROX cars. RROX Rail Ltd owns the pit where the cars are loaded and also the yard at Clover Bar on Edmonton’s east side where the cars are unloaded.

  4. Interesting, thanks !!
