Caption: CN M420 2546, C424 3218 (with a really saggy frame), M420 2504, GP40-2L(W) 9522, and S7 8226 head up freight #431, having just finished working Stuart Street Yard and now on the move eastbound through Hamilton on the Oakville Sub (timetable west) just transitioning to the Grimsby Sub (timetable east) at the old James Street Station site in the distance. The train is seen passing under Mary Street, John Street and James Street bridges, and passing by the old junction point around Mile 43.6 where the Hagersville Sub branched off to the south at Ferguson Avenue (gone today), and the N&NW spur to the north into the industrial district.

That signal was still there in 2005. They made it a mast not long after.
Good stuff! Classic Hamilton!
