CN 6770 leads westbound #75 thru the junction on a rather cool fall afternoon. As for the other power on this train, alas, I was unable to locate my notes. Unit retired by 1989 and not preserved like many in this series were.

  1. A classic shot of a beautiful locomotive. I was lucky enough to be working as a brakeman/conductor in the last years of these FPA4′s. Not only did they look awesome, but there was that 251 noise and a very unique smell. Locomotives smell different, depending on the units. These FPA4′s had an wonderful smell outside and in. I am sorry i did not record more trips behind these beauties. Nice shot AW

  2. Thanks, Lad. I sure miss this era.

  3. Very nice, Mr. Mooney, very nice indeed!
