CN 4774 begins to slowly cross Colbourne Street in downtown Brantford. They have set the traffic lights to stop traffic on Clarence Street so that they can cross over Clarence safely. On Tuesday 435 dropped 4774 off in the yard in Brantford and hopefully it sticks around for a while.

    Great to see a GP38-2 on the Burford spur. Interesting how often they swap power. Anyone know why they don’t have a dedicated unit for this job?

    Brad, they only swap up power when it is due for its mandatory inspections and when the power in the yard goes in for the inspection they just send up something else. No need for a dedicated unit.

    Looks like CN Police officer on deck..perhaps part of an enforcement effort.

    I find it worrisome that the crew member is riding in front stairwell..one errant driver at that location could easily hit that location on unit, and he loses his legs or life.
    He would be much safer higher on deck like the officer.
