CN 4022 has finished switching Ingenia and has returned downtown to run around four cars intended for delivery to SC Johnson. On their trip west along the old LE&N, the rails would spread under the fourth car causing it to derail, thus only 3 cars made it to SC Johnson that day. That awful looking railway crossing eventually got rebuilt, and a few years after that SC Johnson stopped shipping by rail and the line now lies dormant. The old TH&B station in the picture was a popular restaurant for years until the building was gutted by fire. The station was rebuilt and is now a very shady looking night club.

  1. I think that restaurant was the Iron Horse Steakhouse or something like that. The fire was about 1981-1982……I had wondered if that old TH&B station was still standing.

  2. Sounds like the building has had a couple fires. It sure is a survivor!
