The “witch hat” stations are iconic to the Canadian owned railroads. Gorgeous building.
Great shot. Thanks for the “wake up”. I had not been north in so long I did not know the CDN was back on daylight run thru the Sound. I’ll need to pay the Sound a visit this fall. No doubt a lot has changed.
So … am I understanding this right that there’s passenger service again at the old CP station? Or just the daylight run of the Canadian??
It has status on VIA Rail again. From the website:
“Indication on the stop sign
Boarding and detraining for train 1 westbound only
Train 2 doesn’t stop, see Parry Sound
