Originally built in 1902, the last passenger train stopped here on November 30th 1970. The station was then closed and used as storage by CP, who applied to demolish it in 1977. The Brampton Heritage Board helped save it, and it was moved off-site in December 1981 to Hutton Nurseries (off Creditview Road). The property was sold in 1988 to build Lionhead Golf Course, and the station again languished in disrepair until property owner Kaniff Ltd planned to demolish the dilapidated heritage building the late 90's.

The city and heritage board then stepped in again, and the old station was dismantled by hand and moved to a resident's property in Norval where its pieces were stored. There were plans discussed in 2003 for it to become part of the new GO Transit Mount Pleasant station, but they ultimately fell through. The old station was eventually relocated and rebuilt in Mount Pleasant Village as part of the community centre in 2010, a stone's throw from the GO station.
