Caption: Canadian Pacific FP7 class diesels #1424 & 1418 on display in Medicine Hat, Alberta, along with a 1/48 scale representation: a Lionel O-gauge Canadian Pacific F3 from 1973 that I scooped up at a model train show last year - and which I lugged across the continent and back in my suitcase in order to get this photo! (The photo is from a trip my wife & took out west on VIA Rail’s ‘Skeena’ & ‘Canadian’ – taking the ‘Canadian’ from Toronto to Edmonton, then stopping over to explore Alberta by rental car before taking VIA Rail’s ‘Skeena’ from Jasper to Prince Rupert and boarding the ferry to Port Hardy on Vancouver Island).

How well preserve and sealed are the F units? Nice photo, btw.
Thanks. Due to being exposed to the elements for many years there is some deterioration. That said, I still think they photograph well. Here’s a pic of just the units: http://northamericabyrail.info/a-trip-on-via-rails-skeena-jasper-ab-prince-rupert-bc/043-canadian-pacific-fp7-class-diesels-on-display-in-medicine-hat-ab/
