Caption: Call this a 'standard issue' shot for this location. I'm posting this for those who railfan north of Sudbury, namely out of Cartier; the westbounds out of this railroad town can be chased to the crossing at Hwy 144 with about a couple of minutes to spare without driving like a lunatic. There are several angles to shoot here, but this one gives the best open view. Just before the crossing a dirt trail can be navigated up into a small parking area and this is the resulting shot. The area appears to get a regular crew-cut, the foliage gets a manicure in the fall.....at least it used to.....This typical westbound has CP 9730, 9801 and 9148 for power. Moose are common in that swamp pond in the background. Benny? Well, it is the closest community, a gathering of maybe 6 non-descript dwellings about a mile to the north-west.

A regular road photo…still a beauty though Arnold….I mean, the surrounding wilderness, including the moose’s bathtub to the left. Never knew there was a town named Benny…Would have thought those large moose-like creatures would have resided in Moose-onee LOL
