By most accounts, winter 2023 has been rather lame. Warm, overcast days meant we saw rainstorms in January. So when the forecast told of a snowstorm, I did not hesitate to get trackside. About 6 hours into the storm, the scene went from a yucky brown to a brilliant white. In the storm, GO 640 races past Sunnyside with an equipment move bound for Union to take commuters home. This is the winter scene I dream of.
