Before heading for Groceries, my daughter and I watched #87 go by with newly wrapped 6454 in the lead and I took full advantage of a typical springtime puddle. :)

  1. Wow!! Derail and drown. :o )

  2. Obviously a visit to the water depot had ensued again…:)

  3. And did your daughter also take ‘advantage’ of that puddle ??

  4. Right after the shot they both jumped joyously through the puddle! Or so the story goes.

Attaboy Steve, you nailed this shot!

  5. Nice pic as always. Funny though, that looks more like the consist for 85 than 87.

  6. Thanks gang.

Hahah she’s a mischief maker so she would have loved to jump in the puddle with me, to get me all dirty, but No, we had to stay clean for the Grocery store. She does collect sticks.. and rocks.. especially Coal :)

Dave – the North Mainline’s trains just get smaller and smaller :)

  7. Fantastic! Nice to finally see a wrapped F40 in town.

  8. Love it! You are the master of the puddle shots LOL

  9. Very nice, Stephen.

  10. Reflections shots are the best. You get 2 of everything in the picture. Air is so calm the pond is truly a mirror. :-)

  11. Thanks. It was quite windy actually, thus why it’s not a perfect mirror. I had the shelter of a pile of frogs and ties behind me helping keep it mostly calm though.

The light was also no good anywhere else as the shadows were quite long at this time of day. This was the best place for it.

  12. Nicely done Steve. Scheme certainly looks better on the F40′s than on the GE’s.

  13. I`m a huge fan of these puddle shots, this is so awesome!!

  14. Nice Shot Stephen!

  15. This is truly a masterful capture … signals, train and bill board all duplicated, sharp and even colour coordinated … well done!

  16. Stunning shot Steve! Great work!

  17. Just saw this for the first time! Simply amazing Steve!

  18. Glad you like it. This puddle is gone now, entire area re-ballasted. Can’t do this here anymore :)
