Beautiful morning for photography, but I am too high up on Dundas Peak to read #70's engine number. These BBD LRC units were rather short-lived on VIA due to numerous problems with their operation. They lasted but 20 years, from early 1980s to around 2001. Things are not the same any more on the peak either. Controlled parking and fat entrance fee to the area has pretty well kept the fans from bothering this location any more.

    Too bad eh? This would’ve made a heck of a time machine photo 40 years later if you could’ve captured VIA’s latest train set…. ????

    Todd: That could happen. The new ones cannot be far off for this part of the system. Getting me out to the point would be another matter though. :o )

    It was getting real bad when I was there in the 2015 era a couple times. Parking was difficult and only getting worse.

    I have photos from down below where the station was of a train going around and you can see people *climbing vertically* up or down the mountain face. Crazy.
