Well done..photographed this train on departure from MacMillan Yard. Nice to see those former York Canyon BNSF GEs have a home!

What road are you on?
I was watching action of the York sub at mi 23.

I am not sure the actual name but believe the road is called Hopkins street. South off Victoria between Thickson rd to the east and Brock to the west.Victoria is south of the 401 Its the overpass entrance to the steel mill beside the cn. For safety. Parking is very difficult through the week. And there is a very large amount of truck traffic. Get your shots while you can, this location will disappear next spring when the overpass is removed.
Does the road crossing around there still exist?
The name of the road is Hopkins St. The road is used as the entrance to Gerdau, which is directly behind the photographer. Baldeagle is correct, the shot will no longer be possible in the near future due to the ongoing progression of GO’s Whitby Maintenance Facility. The grade crossing (South Blair St.) has been removed as it will become an underpass.
Thank you for the info on the 2193. i knew it was a previously enjoyed unit but unaware of its heritage. Please keep in mind if any one ventures to this location it is a city street and the property to the south is private and video cameras are in place. enjoy.
The reference to York Canyon is visible in these units in the
outboard section of the roof. The roof ducks down then out
again to clear an uncomfortably intruding part of the architecture of the loading facility at York Canyon.
