Caption: BATHURST STATION STOP. On my first Father-Son trip to Toronto in 2007 with my youngest son Thomas to watch our beloved Maple Leafs, we decided to experience their famous streetcars. Upon learning we had traveled all the way from Newfoundland & Labrador, a kind and generous TTC employee gave us a free return ticket to enjoy the 511 Route from Union Station to Bathurst. An added bonus, besides travelling through Kensington Market and Chinatown was that after the layover, the car was supposed to return empty to Union but with the exception of my son and I. What an amazing and wonderful experience we shared with the driver that afternoon, thanks to the wonderful TTC staff!Here, CLRV 4075 waits on the turn before allowing 4015 to proceed. Both of these Class L2 cars were 2 out of a group of 190 built for the TTC between 1977 and 1981. This Fall, I plan to release my third 'then & now' book, this time on the streetcars of St. John's.

Lovely that we can see the rocket from your point of view. Ours is living in Toronto and being stuffed like sardines on one at rush hour.
To note…some of the stops are a little too close together..some make sense for busy areas to prevent overcrowding at stops. The councillor made the right move to remove the stop just the other side of the intersection here at Bathurst/Bloor as it was too close to the station. One down..many to go.. hope to see you again.
