Caption: Barrie Collingwood Railway's 1001 has lined the points tight off the rarely used Big Bay Point spur onto the even less used Molson spur for the last time. Shortly 1001 will cross Big Bay Point road behind me protected by hand, grab 2 flatcars loaded with rail removed from the old Molson Brewery plant, reverse back here then shove all the way back out to the "mainline" to take their 2 cars down to the runaround down in Innisville, service Comet Chemical and Tag Environmental before returning back to Utopia that evening.
After this move the last of the rails on the former Molson property were ripped up and trucked out, and the Molson spur currently sits locked out/ripped up as far as Big Bay Point rd, 2 cranes have recently started construction for something big on the old Molson lot, but with Big Bay Point rd slated to have the rails removed this summer for a new paving project, it doesn't look like whoever has purchased this giant industrial lot in Barrie is interested in any kind of rail service. Sigh...
