Back onto its normal routing, Conrail's Selkirk Yard to Montreal (CP St-Luc) train approaches the St. Lawrence Seaway crossing and the bridge onto the island of Montreal. The train is now led by big six-axle units such as SD50 6829, unlike the smaller power used in prior years.

Today, the 6829 has been retired by Norfolk Southern and the former Conrail line through Adirondack Jct and Chateauguay is quiet with CSX traffic operating through Valleyfield.
