Caption: Back in the days when it was the Conrail Mainline thru Niagara Falls, we see two CR units having just entered the CR-CN connector which went over to the CN yard in town. This is a 'going away' shot, with CR 5823 leading 7433, about to cross thru the intersection of Queen and Erie Sts. That is Rosberg Dept store on the right, still in business and sporting holiday decorations. In the far background left and centre is the Bridge St. VIA station. The power will head over to the CN, and then bring some traffic back to CR Montrose at the south end of the city. Quite the old time lights on the cop car.

Hmmm. Wonder if all three are connected ??
I love the inclusion of the old police car! Michigan State Troopers still have the big revolving red light on their modern cruisers..its awesome.
The old man did a good job on this one! Oh, and you as well… the photographer.
Careful, lad. You’re tempting an old man revolution.
Niagara Falls, away from the touristy areas, has the look and feel of a gritty border town. This shot with the cop car accents that.
Nice classic shot. Thanks for sharing. It definitely has that ‘Fargo’ feel to it.
