Caption: Back in September 1993 CN completed a large-scale bridge replacement west of Paris on the Dundas Subdivision. This resulted in CN rerouting trains not only on their Guelph Subdivision, but also detouring across Canadian Pacific’s Galt Subdivision for several days. In the west, the trains would begin their journey to the Galt Subdivision through the interchange track at Woodstock then onto the CP St. Thomas Subdivision for a short stretch before reaching the Galt mainline.
CN 392 is viewed waiting to proceed on this route with SD40’s 5055, 5029 and 5043 on September 15, 1993. CN 392 would actually wait here to meet a CP local seen approaching that was given priority as it headed to the Cami plant on the St. Thomas Subdivision.

Thanks for the history! It looks like they’ve removed the interchange track.
Thanks for the comment Brad.
Yes, it looks like at least half of it is gone looking at the satellite view.
What a neat event to document, I like that single offset signal head. I am thinking that was for the connecting track that the CN is on in this shot? I don’t think I’ve seen it in any other shots.
Yes Matt, I believe that is what the offset signal was for. I wish I had more photos of it.
