Caption: Back in September 1993 CN completed a large-scale bridge replacement west of Paris on the Dundas Subdivision. This resulted in CN rerouting trains not only on their Guelph Subdivision, but also detouring across Canadian Pacific’s Galt Subdivision for several days. In the west, the trains would begin their journey to the Galt Subdivision through the interchange track at Woodstock then onto the CP St. Thomas Subdivision for a short stretch before reaching the Galt mainline.
CN 392 is viewed waiting to proceed on this route with SD40’s 5055, 5029 and 5043 on September 15, 1993. CN 392 would actually wait here to meet an approaching CP local that was given priority as it headed to the Cami plant on the St. Thomas Subdivision.
