Awh....those long days of summer...the sun is setting a little earlier than it did in June so my best bet when I am getting nervous about when the evening train will be arriving in Canada from Western NY was to head down along the Parkway and watch for it to clear the US customs. Time is of the essence when the sun is sinking to the horizon. Pity we can no longer see trains on a structure such as this; that all ended in the early 200s and the bridge still sits there, forlorn. The estimate back at the time to dismantle this edifice was in excess of 26 million dollars. Enough that the decision was made to just let it rust. Power on the train tonight is B&O 4291 and C&O 4173.

  3. Thanks Curtis. A great shooting location of the past. Nothing but a shell now.

  4. Cdntrainphotog: Interesting to see the first two boxcars are Detroit & Mackinac. Pretty good indication of where the train is headed. :o )
