At CN Guelph Junction (Known in the system as Guelph Junction Wellington) Granite Homes created a development from the former CN Freight Shed. Now known as the "Junction" it's a nod to the railway history of the past. It's a great place to visit with nice light views of the Guelph sub, the spurs nearby, and plenty of parking along with railway themed things scattered throughout the property - including a Caboose which serves as an office they rent out. The lettering on the side of the former freight shed building is a nice touch. From the north end, we see L542 going around the wye as they work Guelph with a now retired and sold GMD-1 long hood forward.

  1. That’s not the former freight shed, (it’s off to the right) but the interior walls are designed with a railway theme. Most are decorated as boxcars, with sliding doors to enter.

  2. Most everything is there. It’s something fans on this site need to see to believe. A great spot to railfan especially if you like GO trains and cn locals.

  3. Time for a road trip.

  4. Great image Steve

  5. I posted another gmd-1 shot in My profile beside this one. LOL didn’t plan this.
