Caption: As the old adage says, good power and bad weather always seem to go together. But, I’m not complaining, it’s been a while since I've seen a lash-up like this on CP, it’s usually a pair of toasters heading up anything in the area that I've seen. The lead unit, 6073, and the trailing unit, 5906 (from the photographers prospective) have returned to their birthplace still in service for their original owner for 46 years and 35 years respectively. Sandwiched in the middle is ex. DM&E 6052, originally built for Union Pacific at EMD’s La Grange shops 42 years ago. Than rebuilt to dash 3 status and sold to DM&E 17 years ago and given the blue and yellow appearance with the added distinction “City of Crawford”, which (as seen here) it still wears today, even after the DM&E was acquired by CP in 2008.
