The Halton sub had single track sections in georgetown and brampton and Metrolinx expansions basically paid for it.
Metrolinx isn’t running on the freight only Halton portion so expect no changes unless absolutely neccessary.
Interesting, I did not know that. Makes sense then why Stewarttown and other places haven’t been double tracked.
Mr.Host is correct. The Halton Sub did have single track sections at Peel,Credit and Stewarttown. Metrolinx wants CN’s Halton Sub from Halwest to Georgetown. Triple track already is in place from Halwest to Peel and then Brampton to Mt.Pleasant.You can also see the beginnings of the triple track west of Mt.Pleasant towards Georgetown(Credit)with the signal masts already configured for 3 tracks. I have seen the plans to divert the Halton Sub from Halwest link up around Speyside.
