Caption: As it would typically happen, if EMD had European locomotives to ship, GEXR would run an extra on a Sunday. Why? Well, 432 was usually light power anyway, so a quick run to London to EMD, make a lift including two buffer cars, and run straight to mac yard. This was one such instance, and you never knew what you were going to get. Just one Freightliner Class 66? But hey, the entire train fit in my frame. The building I'm on is now demolished and part of the new GO station. It's amazing how fast things change , and I took it for granted. I don't have very many good shots of the 'famous' EMD Extras - which were forwarded to CN for the Port of Halifax.
Bonus Audio link Here's a never before published, audio recording from an EMD Extra that ran in the cover of darkness. Clearly the conductor was having fun, sometime around 2004/2005. With thanks to David Graham for making the recording and pulling it out Link to GEXR Convoy - mp3 - 13 seconds long

Nice shot.
I kinda wondering if that conductor sang it more than once
I remember that one, just saw it wizzing by Chinguacousy Road in Brampton when I got there.
Another solo export unit run was also made a few days later on the 19th, but by CN – ratty GP40-2L(W) 9567 with 2 idler cars and FPL EU05 from ITS in Welland (through Brampton in the evening).
