Nice shot. This diamond has been upgraded to 50MPH in the last couple years. It used to be 30MPH until they upgraded it.

That’s right Phil, they replaced the conventional diamonds with a new style of diamond where CN’s line is seamless rail permitting a higher speed, while the OBRY (ex-CP) line would be lifted up over the CN’s rails by the flanges. Unfortunately, no more clickity-clack!

I know it all to well and actually went over the diamond twice yesterday! Once on 384 in the afternoon and then again at about 2300 on 397. I honestly don’t miss the clickity clack I can run across at 50 and love it. The only one better is the diamond at Cerew on the Dundas Sub and thats good for 60MPH!!
