Caption: As a celebration of Canada's 150th anniversary as a nation, the Alberta Prairie Railway (APR) joined with the Alberta Railway Museum (AMR) in bringing their two steam locomotives together to run double-headed passenger trains between Stettler and Big Valley, Alberta for a week around Canada Day in 2017. The locomotives involved are the APR 2-8-0 #41 ex-Mississippi Railway, and ARM 4-6-0 #1392 ex-Canadian National. These photos show the activity on their many runs between these two centers. In this image #1392 leads #41 to the water tank car before the restored grain elevator in the terminus town of Big Valley, Alberta.
