Cool catch.
It’s a neat shot. It reminds me very well of how unwelcoming of a vibe I get every time I am near that place haha
To contribute to the knowledge sharing part of the site, CN L564 runs the Chemical Spur over to Oxy Vinyls pretty much every night (I believe). Hoppers are set off where you can see them pictured in behind the unit here. Tanks are set off further down the track this unit is on, and I believe anything for CN to lift is further down that way too.
The tanks of Vinyl Chloride – OCPX – come from the “home” plant of Oxychem, in Pasadena TX. On any given night, CN train 330 will have from 10 – 25 of them.
….just to give an idea of volume production at this facility.
James – compared to Sarnia this place was a cake walk. I was able to do whatever I wanted from the fence without any hassle. In Sarnia you’d be arrested doing what I did…. and it was all Legal.
Good to know that CN 562 goes in here.
Bruce wow that’s nuts. So these guys must get a daily switch then?
Yes daily by 564 at night
