And now there are two: Ontario Southland Railway 6508 now has a matching sister in the OSR's corporate paint scheme. Just days from completion, 1401 is shown without the nose logo and some final details which were not applied in this mid September view. On September 25 (Today) OSR released 1401 to the wild paired with 6508. Expect the flood of fans to converge on Salford in the coming weeks :) Photo taken with permission of OSR but held back until 'release date' by request of the OSR team.

    Wouldn’t matter how long you held onto this image, it’s still ugly.
    Only reason it looks good, it’s fresh.

    Nice to see the F’s being repainted, it’s good to know that OSR is going through the effort and spending money on them and they won’t be going anywhere soon

    Too much cream. They should have continued the maroon on to the front some how. I’ll still go photograph though. :) I’m impressed with how clean the shop is, I’ve never been inside. Anybody know what the orange screens are for?

    I think it would have been more aesthetically pleasing for the maroon to wrap around the front and up to a point under the headlight similar to the treatment on the 378. However, we are not the owner and he gets to do what he likes. Sure looks a lot better now than when it arrived on OSR property.

    Bruce you have to remember a freshly painted F unit in everyday service in 2018- it could be painted like Ronald McDonald and it would still be amazing !!!

    The owner doesn’t design – or paint – the locos !
    NiagaraMike – ask the crew ( engineer especially) how they like switching with them.
