Caption: An unusually heavily powered CP TripleCrown Roadrailer train with an ex-C424 control cab CP 1100 leading 4 locomotives (looks like GP38-2, unident, Helm GP40, GP38ac) is about to cross a double-track mainline.
I am reasonably confident that the diamond is "Melrose" where CP's Windsor Sub crosses the CN Strathroy Sub, west of Komoka ON. Anyone who recognizes the spot circa 1995 is invited to comment.
Maps show the tracks at Melrose cross at about a 20 degree angle, though it looks wider - comparing ties on both lines better shows the crossing angle. I believe the CP train is en route between Windsor and London, heading east-north-east at this point. The road crossing at far right was a puzzle; I reckon it is Melrose Drive - which appears to have been re-aligned, it no longer crosses the tracks.

On the map, the lead loco is closer to the diamond than the pointer, while the photographer’s position is in the “V” on the other side of the diamond. I think I see traces of previous Melrose Drive alignment in aerial (satellite?) views, when it crossed CN instead of paralleling it.
If I got the location right, the “W” whistle sign near the diamond tells westbound CP trains to sound the horn for Amiens Road level crossing. Part of a crossing signal was just visible at extreme left of the original scan, but was lost in straightening. Looks like Melrose Drive used to meet Amiens Rd very close to the CP crossing, now it’s beside CN’s Amiens Rd crossing.
