An eastbound expedited train exits the short tunnel just west of Cathedral Siding. The rest of the train rugs a ledge on the side of Cathedral Mountain. Just past where the train disappears, is a large slide area that CP has had to invest a lot of resources over the years. There is now a significant concrete slide shed to protect the ROW.
