An early mid October morning finds a unit train entering the south end of the connecting track, which is located next to the Kerensky siding. The Coronado sub. can be seen continuing east beside the units. It was a beautiful morning waiting for the train to arrive, and the engineer, with windows wide open, gives clear indication as to how nice it was. What seems like a lot of power, is actually the work extra, hitching a ride to whichever siding the equipment is parked at. The end 2 units, the 4216 and 5504, will be left there along with a caboose.

  1. I’m just amazed at how clean those engines look!

  2. I agree with Kevin on this, and should add that the “the wave” makes it!

  3. They really are looking fresh. Maybe there was time during the night to run them through the wash rack before their morning departure.
Most units I found to be pretty respectable. Cabooses were another story. Some, the grime or whatever it was, had them almost looking black. :-)

  4. Great looking consist.

  5. Five… clean… nice..
