It is to Amtrak & America’s great credit that they have a government willing to invest in passenger rail, offering Pacific Northwest passengers the option of an all-rail route to Vancouver by way of a Cascades service that now connects with the Empire Builder. All while our own sinks hundreds of millions into a highway to the arctic that most Canadians will never use – so what’s the subsidy per passenger-mile of that boondoggle, Mr Harper?
