Amtrak 145 had escaped my lens a few times prior to this day, coming thru Canada 3 times before. Luckily this time, I had time to get to my location with time to spare, as the Maple Leaf was a few minutes late. I don't believe it's come through since. Amtrak usually sends a few different heritage units through here a year so it adds some fun to catching the usually dull Maple Leaf.

  1. I’ve only seen 145 and 822 comes down here. Go figure, both are in Phase III. Oddly enough, out of all the heritage units, I’d like to see 184. It portrays a paint scheme layout some Genesis units actually wore. The phase III heritage units have nothing on the phase III the P42′s actually wore, which was a stealthy paint scheme. Sorry I forgot to reply by the way. I really have no motivation to go to the St. Catharines station in morning, however I am a frequent evening visitor. I’ll do the morning if I know something decent is coming.

  2. No problem man. I could come in the evening too, doesn’t matter with me.

  3. 184 is one of the nicest. I remember those schemes briefly from when I was younger
