Always loved this station.
It was built in 1907, part of the Guelph and Goderich RR which was built by the CPR and before station was built the line was leased by the G&G to CPR for 999 years.
Last passenger train ran in 1956 and the last freight left in 1988. The town of Goderich took it over. In 2013 over a three day period toward the end of July, this 400 ton structure was carefully moved to a new foundation just to the west a hundred yards or so, turned and facing the beach; and extensive renovations had it opening as the Beach St restaurant in June 2015. It is a beautiful place to visit, just gorgeous inside, and well worth the visit for a good meal as well.
I'm offering up this particular image as standing on a bench by the water gave a nice reflection of the setting sun in the windows, wrapping the station in a warm inviting glow.

  1. Nice angle on this shot. This side seems rarely photographed.
