Almost exactly 11 years after my Belleville picture of CN 2335 we see her eastbounud at Brock Street, Whitby. This scene has changed dramatically today as the bridge was replaced and two GO Transit tracks have been added to the right of the CN. The ore cars contained slag which was being used for ballast by both CN and CP. A few years later it was decided that slag was too contaminated to be used this way.

  1. That is a great photo! I’ve often wondered what the area around the GO station looked like before GO. Was that really only 1982? It looks so much earlier.
