Almost 26 years to the day after Keith's photo of CN 4115, we find the same engine still working hard for CN. Despite losing its' external barrel-type spark arrestors, and gaining some wear-and-tear on the paint job, the engine looks very much the same. Here 551's crew is spotting up the night train to Oakville before starting on 435's setout on the next track over. Pretty impressive to see the engine still working for its' original owner after 55 years!

  1. So 435s consists is made in Burligton and then goes to London? I thought 435 came from Toronto?

  2. You’re right, CN 435 runs Mac Yard to London, but they make a tail-end setoff and lift at Aldershot. Primary traffic in/out of Aldershot on 435 consists of cars for/from the Oakville Ford plant, Suncor at Bronte, Hamilton car or cars for 547 to distribute along the Halton sub. Cheers, Peter.
