The conductor is on the end of the unit because there has to be someone on the *point* when moving, especially over a road and yes the engineer would have a blind spot and not be able to see signals or the roadway or obstructions
Nice location choice. That’s the rail corridor below (at left) for GO/UPE trains, correct? The conductor is giving you the stare haha!
