After lifting a cut of cars from the interchange track, 572 will shortly depart Franz and be on its way towards Hawk Junction. Franz used to support a steady population of people involved in the forestry and mining industries. Now all that is left is several (mostly) abandoned buildings and old foundations.

  1. Nice show of traffic from Franz. What’s the road into there like?

  2. When I was there in 2012 the road was a little rough in sections but generally in good shape. Once you find the right road out from Dubreville, there are little signs marked “Franz” with arrows pointing you in the right direction.
