After a long night of cherry picking empty pellet hoppers at Aberdeen and helping 142 make the hill, TH21 returned to Kinnear only to find they had to spend the last couple of their maximum of 10 hours down the Belt. I can only imagine this was to their exhausted chagrin, however, selfishly it was to my delight. They dragged a cut of cars up to Adams Yard and set most of it off, before shoving back to the interchange and tacking a few cars onto what was already waiting for CN (pictured here). They'd then proceed back into Adams Yard and grab a drag to take back to Kinnear before heading home for a day's sleep.

  1. 7307…ex D&H?

  2. Yeah ex D&H

  3. Great light

  4. Awh, yes, D&H!!! I remember seeing this unit running around in it’s lightning stripes. What a shame it was painted to CP some years ago.

  5. Thanks Steve.

And Arnold, I’d have loved to have seen this one in the D&H paint. That said, it’s my favourite CP unit and I’ve enjoyed the couple of times it’s been assigned to Hamilton. Made sure I made the effort to get it leading this time around.

3045 was dropped off by 246 yesterday – not sure if it’s replacing 7307 or another one of the two, but the timing would be about right for 7307 to be cycled back out.

  6. 3045 has indeed replaced 7307.
