Caption: Advance warning of a dimensional Siemens Westinghouse shipment that CN would pick up in daytime in Hamilton, on what looked like a nice autumn day - was enough to persuade me to book the day as vacation and try my luck.
Many details are forgotten, but the weather and train were as forecast.
Light CN engines SD60F 5532 and SD40u 6022 were first seen by me westbound at Aldershot West, and found again at Hamilton Stuart Street Yard a bit later. They backed their special train uphill just past Bayview Junction, stopped for the switch and signal, then pulled west on the Dundas sub.
Last three cars of the train were CN 53398 covered hopper, WECX 102 Schnabel car, and WECX 104 caboose. There may have been more buffer cars.
