Oh how I wish that they would restore the original cab. I believe the current cab (wooden?) was applied in conjunction with the filming of CBC’s ‘National Dream’ a few decades ago.
Beautiful capture Mr. Mooney! I remember being fascinated with ‘The National Dream’ when it first aired on CBC (the only station we could access back then in Outport Newfoundland) in the mid ‘70’s and loved that engine! – Ken

I wonder if that is Frank Bunker at the controls.
Doesn’t quite look like Frank at the throttle, Frank would have his trademark “pushed up” engineer’s hat, pinstripe grey and white and would be wearing steam engineers clothing, not a white T-shirt. John
