Caption: A typical dull winter-grey sky on the morning of March 14, 1992 and I went down to Jordan to catch AMTK #97. Nice to see it #198, the former GO Transit #506, one of 8 GO GP40TC locomotives sold to Amtrak in 1988. Here, it still looks rather spiffy in its new paint. All eight (192-199) were rebuilt to GP38H-3 by the NS in 2005. I don't remember when the track and switch on the right was removed, but I do recall a small yard here at one time as Jordan was once a very busy location for fresh fruit shipping.

Beauty. It looks like when they single tracked they just moved one or both of the signs east a bit.
Amazing how much traffic has been driven away. Wonder if they regret single tracking here yet. Not that there is a lot of traffic but I’m sure a headache with the Go trains.
@Marcus…the entire subdivision will need to be rebuilt for Metrolinx. The track is in terrible shape and all the bridges will also need major work. I don’t think there was any regret in single tracking the Grimbsy Sub. The Strathroy is another story.
Beauty photo Arnold.
Arnold Great photo. My records show the switches for the side tracks were removed April 22 1997.
Thanks, Terry. The building that siding served is still there though. Looks the same as it did back then.
Those GP-40TC’s looked good in Amtrak paint.
