Caption: A trip down St. Clair<: TTC PCC 4514 (as a 1951-built A8-class, the "newest" PCC's in the fleet) heads eastbound on St. Clair Avenue West on the 512 bound for the Yonge Subway line (St. Clair station loop). It's seen here crossing Vaughan Road, mixed in with afternoon traffic. I spy an early Honda Civic, an International Harvestor S-series truck operating for Maritime Ontario, a Mister Donut, a Pizza-Pizza (sporting the old logos), and the Heritage Theatre (formerly the old Vaughan Road Theatre, built in 1947 and demolished in the 80's).

You forgot the AMC Hornet
…can never forget the AMC Hornet! Most had the 232 cu. in. straight six. A Nissan behind the PCC. That Honda Civic is circa 1974ish.

There is a big church – St. Alphonsus RC – just to the photographer’s right, on the northeast side of Vaughan Road.
I’m not as up-to-date on my 70′s and 80′s American iron as some people are. Now if it was a Pacer or Gremlin…easy spotting
Something else interesting near the Pizza Pizza sign a man is walking past a little structure that once were in the thousands on streets. When you were away from home and wanted to call someone you went inside the little booth, closed the door, picked up the receiver and dialed their number. If they were home you could talk to them. Only TWO people in the whole world knew what you were talking about!

What kind of batteries powered such a large giant mobile phone? Did it have wheels so you could walk with it inside?
