Caption: A trio of GP38-2s provides the power for the day's T29 as it blasts past the old elevator in Arkwood, doing a healthy 60 mph. This elevator is hard to find history on, but from what I can tell, it last operated in 2013. The letters at the top, FGDI, stand for Farmers Grain Dealers Inc., though the elevator passed through several owners in its life including Taylor Grain. There were three tracks here - the main, a siding, and the track that serviced the elevator itself. As you can see the siding is cut off, but it still has two derails on it. The tracks up to the elevator are still there but are slowly being buried over time. And the switch to that track to the elevator is still in place off the siding. Way off in the distance you can see the still active elevator in Kent Bridge.

Other RP contributors have posted shots here in the past, including Hunter Holmes, Jay Butler, and Mike Molnar. On this particular day, T29 had one tank for the ethanol plant in Chatham. They'd leave the tank on the main at Ringold, run around it, and tie back on before working the plant then heading back home to London.
