A stop at CN Fort Erie was mandatory...

...while enroute to Silver Creek, N.Y....

...just the thought of capturing ex Reading, LV, EL, D & H , maybe even CNJ, and “U' boat units on the 'new' ConRail ex NYC water level route....

...and the bonus of the N & W in the Silver Creek ex NYC station 'back yard' ( EMD units long hood forward...and maybe even an ALCO....geezzz)...

at CN Fort Erie, EMD built N & W F7A # 3671 awaits next assignment, April 7, 1977 Ektachrome by S.Danko

interesting: not best angle or a best capture...the angle of light does capture how 'beat up' those F's were...

while I would not normally do this...this shot is too unique...you gotta see N&W 3671 on CN assignment (who'd thought ! ):

  1. Wow! It sure looks rough in your shot! Here is N&W 3671 from the same side but not showing the scars.
