A short eastbound freight train is about to enter the TUS bypass track.
(I commented before that I rarely saw freight trains downtown, but upon further review, I seem to have witnessed more than I thought.)

  1. This could be a KO27 Mac Yard – Mimico transfer.

  2. I’m really enjoying your collection of images, Sir. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Indeed Peter Newman, it is a wonderful trip down memory lane….

  4. Or a wonderful trip down “I wish I was there” lane.. 2 years old at that time !

  5. The coach yard in those days was magical. FPA4′s, RS10′s and 18′s, GR40s with high gear, and GP9′s. The Turbo would come and go, and a full CP stainless steel Canadian…every day. S13′s in and out of the coach yard with sometimes 18 car trains for Windsor or Montreal.GO trains with GP40-2′s and FP9 cab cars, throw in the odd freight and it was fabulous….

  6. Cool shot.

I can say that I to am on “wish I was there lane.”
