A relatively rare sight as CN 1405, 268 and 7268 haul a local freight south on the CN Letellier Subdivision at Portage Junction. These GMD1's are slowly becoming less and less common, so I'm grateful to be able to see this one still operating in February 2017. They are heading to the Chevrier Industrial to switch out some industries.

  1. Wow! Nice sunny day for catching the 1405. Having read many captions, I got the impression that the fleet was off the rails (retired or stored). Obviously not the case. Thanks for taking this photo and sharing. :-)

  2. Thank you very much. I’m glad it got accepted so you and others can enjoy it. I believe there are at least two that are active: CN 1405 and CN 1408, both in Winnipeg. I’m not sure what any others might be, if any. CN 1400 might be active in Brandon, MB, but I don’t know.

  3. Double Wow!

  4. Thanks, Extra 1014!
